Pen & Paper v.s Blogging

My experience with answering the dailies on Blogger has been okay. Having access to information quickly when using the internet proves vital when answering the dailies rather than having look up the subject in a book, looking at your notes, which takes time. The only bad thing about blogging is that you have to have a computer with internet to send in the work, which creates a problem for the average procrastinating high school student. Overall I enjoy typing my thoughts on my P.C and having the ease to correct grammar and clicking on the links.

Blogging Assignments hmmmmm.....

Personally my favorite Blogging Assignment was the one that had the interactive game called "The Oregon Trial". I believe I learned better from interactive activities such as this one. Not only did I had the chance to control my own character, but I also got to make financial and vital choices throughout the game. Basically, I learned more as I progressed through it.

Stitch, stitch, stitch, in poverty, hunger, and dirt!

Life for the textile workers in the 19th century, was hard, hard work. From "The song of the shirt" written by Thomas Hood, he tells how life back then was terrible, people pretty much worked so much they barley lived. It also mentions that they were constantly hungry and could not help but to think of death from time to time. Life back then was not so pretty.

Believe it or not games can help kids learn multiple techniques necessary for school, they teach competition, math skills and how to be time managing. For example playing a game like Halo can help a person be competitive but yet have fun at the same time. Some games also require a player to control their income in games like Mafia Wars, Middle Earth and a bunch of other "business" type games. Plus kids learn how to manage their time. Like some kids know at exactly what time to play and for how long, while others require frequent input from the user to complete certain tasks. No wonder why kids play so much! So playing video games helps kids learn? Heck Yeah!

The classic television show "Gunsmoke" had many stereotypes for the people who actually lived in that era. Some of those stereotypes include: the southern accent (com'on partna, let's a-get 'em), the typical cowboy hat and some people who liked to play tough.

South...you are forgiven...for now.

I believe that the idea of granting amnesty to the south after the civil war was a good idea. Not only does your opponent lend their hand but tells you all is forgiven and lets get back to making America a better place for all. So yeah granting amnesty was a good idea.

Hmmmm. Cival War or the Reconstruction...

The reconstruction helped free the slaves after the civil war, though they were free, freedom had a price.
Though "citizens" of the U.S.A black people were separated from the white folks and also, they had to work for their landowners who gave them terrible deals on which they worked on. So basically it was like if they were still slaves.
