For the first part of this poem I did it the regular way.
Part 1: Poem
People had new techniques in the 1920's
Red Scare occurred
Our Soldiers had returned
Help was greatly needed, the
Industrial era had begun
Bruises were common
In the work places
Taller buildings were made, an
Increase of social disputes occurred
Our
Nation grew for the future of it's people.
As for the second part I decided to do a little short rap (trying to keep it fresh)
Part 2: Rap
R unning through the streets of
O 'conner drive
A man in a suit came
R oaring by,
I ncoming hastily, I moved out the way, but
N o worries, at least it's not Scarface.
G oing down continuously, in my new glad rags, I
T ry not to remember what happened in the past, early that
W eek when I was drinking the hooch, looking for
E mployment in a Bar called the "Roof", seven gangsters were shot in
N orth Clark Street, evidence of today's catastrophes
T hankfully I got new job elsewhere,
I n a secret part of town where I feel safe there, but this is not
E ntirely true, since I'm bootlegging for constant crews, so when depression and debt got me feeling queasy, I head down with my boys to the
S peakeasies
Anyways I typed it again, so you can read the rap a bit more clearer
Running through the streets of O'conner drive,
A man in a suit came roaring by,
Incoming hastily I move out the way
But no worries,
At least its not Scarface
Going down continuously, in my new glad rags,
I try not to remember what happened in the past
Early that week when I was drinking the Hooch
Looking for employment in a bar called the "Roof"
Seven gangsters were shot in North Clark Street
Evidence of today's catastrophes
Thankfully I got a new job elsewhere
In a secret part of town where I feel safe there
But this is not entirely true
Since I'm bootlegging for constant crews
So when depression and debt has me feeling queasy
I head down with my boys to the speakeasies
P.S comment if you can, please.
